The DC3 is a twin engined piston aircraft, which was originally built for the United States Army Air Force in December 1944, but served most of her service with the SA Air Force. It has a seating capacity of 21 passengers.
The Convair 440 built in 1954. The original owners was the US Airforce and based in Texas until 1992. It then followed an 8 - year tour of duty in Cochabamba at 8,500 ft on contract to the Bolivian Airlines. The restoration proved easier than expected due to the exceptionally good condition of the airframe as the aircraft had flown relatively few hours during its 46 year life. The avionics were deemed to be out dated and were thus completely upgraded to incorporate the most modern radar, moving map and positioning systems available. It has a seating capacity for 44 passengers.
Operators, licensed in terms of the Aviation legislation and who are the holders of valid operating certificates, operate the aircraft. All aircraft used are operated by non-scheduled airlines.
We do not own or operate aircraft. The aircraft are operated by licensed aircraft operators and are dependant on them for aircraft availability.
